What is the best location to pick up my car hire in Edinburgh area?

Apr-23-2009 Posted under Car Hire
I’m planning a trip to Scotland in October and have an arrival at Edinburgh Airport. I’ll use a taxi to get to my hotel and after spending a few days in Edinburgh, I would like to hire a car and spend some time on a driving tour.

I understand Edinburgh is difficult to navigate, so should I plan to return to the airport to pick up, or would it be better to just pick up at Waverly Station?

Also, any thoughts on local companies (ie: AutoEurope, etc.) vs. a global company such as Avis or Hertz?

Thanks!

S.

Can i change my car over to someone else if it is on Hire Purchase?

Apr-11-2009 Posted under Car Hire
I bought my car Hire Purchase. For insurance reasons (and because i don’t use it) I want to sign the log book over to someone else. I will continue to pay the car. I cannot “sell” it because it’s on HP.

Can i sign the log book over or not?

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Gov. Sarah Palin charged the state for her children to travel with her, including to event?

Apr-10-2009 Posted under Alaska Hotels
ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Gov. Sarah Palin charged the state for her children to travel with her, including to events where they were not invited, and later amended expense reports to specify that they were on official business.

The charges included costs for hotel and commercial flights for three daughters to join Palin to watch their father in a snowmobile race, and a trip to New York, where the governor attended a five-hour conference and stayed with 17-year-old Bristol for five days and four nights in a luxury hotel.

In all, Palin has charged the state $21,012 for her three daughters’ 64 one-way and 12 round-trip commercial flights since she took office in December 2006. In some other cases, she has charged the state for hotel rooms for the girls.how is the right thing to do with tax payer money
